POST TITLE: Digital & Data Co-ordinator

HOURS: 37½ hours per week (Full-time).

LOCATION: 143 Malone Road, Belfast.

  • Hybrid working may be appropriate following an induction period.

  • Full driving licence and travel will be required to fulfil the role.

  • Out of hours working will be required on occasion.

THE ORGANISATION

Construction Futures, launched in 2024, was established by construction employers, through the Construction Employers Federation, along with the employee representatives from the Unite and GMB Unions.

The purpose of the company is to jointly address the workforce and skills challenges facing the construction sector. We aim to develop practical solutions to key industry challenges and establish long-term initiatives in collaboration with strategic partners. PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

To support the ongoing development, launch, management, and day-to-day coordination of the Construction Futures website and associated digital systems.

The Digital & Data Coordinator will manage website content, recommend ongoing website updates and improvements, coordinate with developers and external consultants, and ensure the organisation’s digital platforms remain accurate, engaging and up to date. The role will also manage CRM systems, stakeholder engagement, and data management activities to ensure industry and education information is maintained effectively across all platforms.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • This role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage large volumes of digital content and data accurately.

  • You must be comfortable working with digital systems, databases and information from a variety of sources, with the ability to gather, organise and maintain accurate information to support workforce planning and organisational activities.

  • Curious and proactive, with the confidence to seek out information, identify gaps and follow up with organisations to ensure information remains accurate and up to date.

  • The ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while working collaboratively with internal teams, developers, consultants, and other external organisations.

  • Enthusiastic about modern technology and supporting the future of the construction and skills sector.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

  • Website & Digital Experience: Experience managing or updating websites using WordPress or similar CMS platforms, including uploading content, maintaining website pages and supporting website improvements.

  • Content Management: Experience creating, uploading, coordinating and maintaining website content, ensuring information is accurate, engaging and up to date.

  • Data & CRM Systems: Experience working with external data sources, membership platforms, customer databases, spreadsheets, CRM systems (e.g. IMIS or similar), and maintaining accurate records to support workforce planning.

  • Analytics: Experience using GA4 and Google Search Console to monitor website performance, produce regular dashboards, and translate insights into recommendations for improvement.

  • Communication & Stakeholder Engagement: Experience communicating effectively via phone, email and written correspondence, with the ability to engage organisations, gather and maintain accurate information, and support the resolution of website, data or system-related queries.

  • CRM & Email Marketing: Experience working with CRM integrations or email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp.

DESIRABLE CRITERIA

  • Website Development Knowledge: Basic understanding of how websites are built and how they integrate with other systems, via API feeds or data feeds, sufficient to communicate effectively with developers and troubleshoot issues, as well as monitoring website security and update requirements.

  • SEO: A good understanding of SEO principles, with experience using them to improve website traffic, rankings, and engagement.

  • Research & Insights: Experience collecting, collating, or presenting information from multiple sources to support organisational planning, reporting, or service improvement activities.

  • Sectoral Awareness: An interest in construction, education, skills development or workforce planning.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Website Management & Coordination - Manage and maintain website content, ensuring information is accurate, engaging, structured, and up to date. Upload content, resources, media, and employer information to the website while coordinating ongoing updates and improvements with developers and external consultants.

  • Content Management - Draft, upload, coordinate, and maintain website and digital content, identifying content gaps and proactively gathering required information from internal teams and external organisations to ensure content remains up to date.

  • Developer & Systems Coordination - Act as a key point of coordination between the Construction Futures team and the developers, CRM platforms, and external consultants, to track progress, manage updates, resolve issues, and support website improvements and integrations.

  • CRM & Systems Support - Support the use and maintenance of CRM systems (e.g. iMIS and Mailchimp), including maintaining accurate records, assisting organisations with uploads or queries, and supporting system coordination activities.

  • Media & Digital Assets – Upload, organise and maintain digital assets including videos, resources and marketing materials, ensuring consistency across the website and digital platforms.

  • Data Management, Reporting & Insights - Maintain and update databases across website and CRM systems, ensuring consistency and data quality. Support reporting and performance tracking to inform ongoing improvements to digital platforms and workforce planning.

  • Events: Support the promotion and follow-up of Construction Futures events through the website, ensuring event pages, content, and resources are published in good time and updated after each event

  • Employer & Organisation Engagement – Work with the Construction Futures team to proactively engage employers and organisations to gather and maintain information such as:

    • Apprenticeship opportunities

    • Student placement opportunities

    • Organisation profiles and contact information

    • Website and directory content

      Follow up regularly to ensure information remains accurate and up to date.
