Construction Futures STEMstruct Programme

Construction Futures has partnered with Sentinus to pilot a 6-week STEM, construction-focused programme for primary schools. This is our first primary school programme which will run simultaneously in 8 schools across the Armagh, Banbridge, Craigavon, and Newry areas. Aimed at P7 pupils (ages 10–11), it will showcase construction careers and how each role helps bring a project to life.

This is a great opportunity for companies interested in promoting construction careers, particularly for those who may not have the time to design their own promotional outreach activities. It may also assist companies with social value requirements within contracts.

Minimal preparation is needed, just a few hours of one of your staff members' time at a scheduled session. If your company is interested in taking part in this pilot, please contact Fionnuala (fionnuala@constructionfuturesni.com) or Jenni (jenni@constructionfuturesni.com).

General details are outlined below:

Session Format for Employers:

  • Total session time: 3 hours approx, including a short break

  • 5-minute introduction on what you do, (you’re welcome to include your logo in the presentation), followed by a brief Q&A with pupils

  • Assist with hands-on activities during the rest of the session

  • Friday 2nd May (AM) – St Francis of Assisi Primary School, Madden Row, Keady, Armagh, BT60 3RW

  • Tuesday 6th May (AM) – St Colman’s Primary School, 28C Monteith Rd, Annaclone, Banbridge, Armagh, BT32 5LS
